Gifford has supported numerous organizations that help children including Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children and Cassidy's Place. Two houses named for her two children were Cassidy's Place & Cody House. Her efforts to help others in the field of employment relations has brought her honorary doctorate at Marymount University.
