Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
